From August 1st 2020

The Swedish Chamber Orchestra is a full-time ensemble of 39 players based in the city of Örebro (2 hours west of Stockholm by car or by train). The orchestra has its home in the Örebro Concert Hall, where each member of the orchestra has a private practice room. The orchestra gives some 90 concerts a year including national and international touring (Lincoln Center, BBC Proms, Salzburger Festspiele, Europe and Japan etc). The orchestra records for BIS, Sony Classics, Naxos, Hyperion, SIMAX, Chandos etc.

The audition will take place in Örebro Concert Hall, Sweden
on the 4th of april 2020

The repertoire for the audition will be:

  • W. A. Mozart
    Flute concerto No 1 in G major OR
    Flute concerto No 2 in D major
    1st movement with cadenza and 2nd movement without cadenza
  • G. P. Telemann
    One of the 12 Fantasies for flute solo
  • Chr. W. Gluck
    Reigen seliger Geister (Dance of the blessed spirits) on piccolo
  • Orchestral Excerpts
